Chesapeake Winter Stripers

Happy Holidays From Captain Shawn & Never Enuff Charters, we are continuing to chase the Chesapeake Winter Stripers into December.  We worked hard this past week,  the weather was kinda ruff a few days and the fish were a bit finicky but we still put limits in the boat on most days.

With the water temperature continuing to drop the fist are going deeper and deeper to find the warm water.  Trolling low and slow continues to be productive.  We are picking up modest size stripers with some in the 30 inch plus range.  These are great eating fish and everyone goes home with plenty of fillets.

The Never Enuff is about to call it a year with our last trip being on Thursday December 22nd.    We are now booking trips for the Spring of 2017 and our calendar is filling up fast.  If you want to get your group out for a day this next Spring don’t hesitate to call us now and book your trip with Captain Shawn.

The Striper outlook for 2017 is very good for Chesapeake Bay and we are anticipating a lot of fish.   As the water temperature in the bay continues to rise so will the activity level of the fish.  We will continue to fill the fish box and the size of the fish we catch will continue to get bigger and bigger as we approach the summer months.

The Never Enuff has become one of the most popular Charters on Chesapeake Bay because of the number of fisherman we can comfortably fish and the hospitality and skill of the crew.  You will want to book early to insure that you get on our schedule.  Remember that we are a Private Charter and we only book out the entire boat to groups so you will be elbow to elbow with fishermen you don’t know.
