Chesapeake Bay Fishing Report – October 31, 2016
Well, October is coming to a close and the Never Enuff has had another good week of fishing on Chesapeake Bay. The weather and the fish were both a bit unpredictable (normal for October) but we were able to get on them each day and fill the fish box.
Jigging with light tackle is the name of the game. If you have caught stripers on light tackle you are missing out. This time of year you will pick up a lot of sub-legal fish but there are still a fair number of keepers that will make your day on the water worthwhile.
The water temperature is starting to drop and this means that the fish will be more active trying to fatten up for the winter months ahead. November can be one of the better months to fish for stripers because of this.
